Despite the growing demand for higher education in Rwanda, only a small portion of high school students have the necessary resources to navigate the difficult college admissions process to competitive colleges and universities abroad.
Sonrise Mentorship was founded to provide the brightest students in Rwanda with opportunities to submit comprehensive applications to undergraduate colleges and universities in the United States and elsewhere around the world.

How We Do It
Every year, Sonrise Mentorship provides a group of students from Rwanda with personalized college application packages. Students are paired with mentors from the University of Michigan to collaborate one-on-one throughout our 12-month program. Mentors provide individual advice and hold regular sessions with students to practice exam topics, participate in application workshops, and strengthen essay skills.
Accomplishing our goals would be impossible without support from our donors. All donations go toward standardized exams, tutoring services, application fees, and technology our students need to succeed.
